Pavel Kudelasek graduated from the Prague Conservatory in the violin class of Professor Jaroslav Foltýn and is currently studying at The Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with Professor Antonín Moravec. He completed his studies with professor Kato Havas. After completing his studies, he initiated the violin department at the Conservatory České Budějovice. In 1993 he became a professor of violin at the Prague Conservatory, where he still works.
He devotes to solo and chamber playing, he was a member of many important ensembles (Czech Chamber Orchestra, Dvorak's Quartet, Pro Arte Antiqua), he cooperated with Czech Nonet. Alongside Escualo Quintet he currently works as the first violinist of the quartet Apollon. He has made several recordings for Czech Radio and Czech Televison.
The spectrum of his musical activities complements the area of the composition where he after studying at the Prague Academy of Music with prof. Dr. Charles Risinger more markedly showed in the violin (Archaic suite, Kaleidoscope), the spiritual (Missa sine nomine, Psalm songs, Requiem) and the chamber (Miniquartet) compositions.
In 2006 he was awarded the Rudolf II. Prize by the Masaryk Academy of Arts for the promotion of Czech music.
